● Place the SLG47105 Demo Board on an anti-static mat and ensure proper grounding.
● Verify the USB power source (minimum 500mA) before connecting.
● Connect the USB cable to the board.
● Ensure the Load Selector Switch (SW2) is set to the appropriate load type.
● Power Supply: USB (5V, 500mA min)
● Multimeter: For voltage measurements
● Oscilloscope: For checking clock signals
● Debugger: (For reprogramming SLG47105, if needed)
● Serial Terminal: (For communication via USB-I2C bridge)
● IDE: GreenPAK Designer (for programming SLG47105)
● Drivers and Libraries: USB-I2C bridge driver
● Firmware: Preloaded factory firmware with motor control and LED functions
- Verify power LED (LED4) is ON after connecting the USB.
- Check regulated voltage (adjustable 3.3V–12V) using multimeter at HVDD output.
- Ensure the status LED (LED5) is ON when a USB connection is established. 4.2 Clock Configuration
- Ensure SLG47105 is functioning properly by monitoring PWM outputs using an oscilloscope. 4.3 Debug Interface Check
- If custom programming is needed, connect GreenPAK Designer via USB and check device recognition.
- Select LED Load mode using SW2.
- Press START/STOP button and check LED status (LED8 - cold white, LED9 - warm white).
- Verify LED brightness control via PWM.
- Select DC Motor Mode via SW2.
- Press START/STOP (SW3) to activate the motor.
- Press DIRECTION (SW4) to reverse the motor direction.
- Select Stepper Motor Mode via SW2.
- Press START/STOP (SW3) to rotate the stepper motor.
- Press MODE (SW5) to switch between continuous rotation and single-step mode.
- Check motor response to DIRECTION (SW4) button.
- Simulate a motor stall and verify that the SLG47105 disables the output (overcurrent protection triggers).
- No LED activity? Ensure the USB connection is supplying power.
- Incorrect HVDD voltage? Adjust potentiometer RP1 and measure again.
- Ensure GreenPAK Designer recognizes the SLG47105.
- Try a different USB cable or USB port.
- Motors not running? Check Load Selector (SW2) and power LED (LED4).
- LEDs not responding? Verify LED mode selection and check PWM output voltage.
